New insights in the structure of mitochondria membranes
In a concerted action, scientists from the MDC, MPI for Biophysics, Saarland University Medical Center and University of Geneva clarified the role of Dynamin in the organization of the mitochondrial membrane. With this knowledge and other necessary examinations, it may one day be possible to cure serious diseases in which the correct structure of the mitochondrial membrane plays a crucial role.
